Description

Need to pair with Vivint's Security system, Professional Installation recommended. Because the doorbell is integrated with Vivint’s connected-home/home security system, you have the option of remotely unlocking any of your doors that are equipped with a smart lock. If you’re not home and you want to let a friend or family member into the house, you can remotely disarm your security system and unlock the door for them. This could also be useful if you need to receive a package while you’re away from home The Vivint Doorbell Camera, a Wi-Fi enabled smart home product, features advanced video analytics to alert homeowners to approaching visitors with customized notifications to a mobile device. The discreet doorbell camera starts recording when a person approaches the door. When the visitorrings the doorbell, the homeowner receives a live video feed through a smartphone app or on thesystem’s Vivint SkyControl wall panel installed in the home. The doorbell cam also features night vision technology, allowing homeowners to see visitors approaching even in low-light conditions.

The QR code on the box didn't work?!It was broken and missing peaces!I had to trow it away.It works perfectly.Vivint has made large jumps in the product development sense the release of the first DBC units,”Doorbell Camera”There is the: DBC1, DBC2, DBC250, DBC300 Pro, and newly released DBC350 Pro.If you are wanting to purchase a Vivint alarm with cameras and home automation, you can reach out to me via [email protected] question can and will be answered.Run don't walk. You'll spend hours on the phone trouble shooting and getting transfered. Your dissatisfaction will not be enough to get out of the contract you'll have to pay. Picture quality is aweful, grainy, images running behind your live video. They will not compensate you just have you working for free helping them troubleshoot something that they know will not work. Literally on hold for hours & hours then sometimes getting disconnected only to start all over again. My landlord has this system installed. The good news? Vivint's support people are really friendly and responsive! The bad news? You'll be getting many opportunities to speak with them. This camera is utterly unreliable. Every couple of weeks, it just disconnects, and it won't reconnect without calling Vivint. And because it's hard wired, and the soft reboot doesn't work, that means having to go flip the breaker. And every step takes agonizingly long. Why does this camera take minutes on end to boot up?When it is working, it frequently doesn't record on person detection. On a regular day, it might catch me leaving or arriving at my house, but rarely both. And when it does work, the video quality and frame rate look like something from a cheap, 15-year-old webcam. Compression artifacts galore; blurry and grainy at the same time. And this is *after* half a dozen trouble shooting calls with Vivint that last at least an hour a piece, moving around the WiFi repeater, then them sending a Z-wave repeater which changed nothing.Avoid this. You couldn't possibly do worse. If I could give 0 stars I would. Vivint is a terrible company and their cameras are terrible as well. They constantly go offline and the picture quality is grainy. Be careful because they lock you into a long-term contract. They mark the cameras up 3000% and you have to finish paying off the equipment before you can end your monthly bill. Which in reality, you should be done paying them off after the first month because of the cheap quality. You would be much happier going with Ring cameras or another brand. Take it from someone stuck in a contract with only 1 out of 4 working cameras, but paying for all 4.I like the fact that i have a monitored system.
